About

Why we exist

Commodity decisions in Thailand sit at the intersection of global benchmarks and local landing costs. A copper print in London does not automatically answer a Bangkok importer’s tender question. Datavector Base was formed to close that gap with careful price trend assessment — written clearly enough for procurement sponsors and precise enough for trading desks.

How we work

We start from the decision, not from a catalogue of indicators. Every engagement names the commodity, the months that matter, and the cost of being early or late. Research draws on public market data, physical flow signals, and the constraints you share with us. Conclusions are argued in plain language; weak points of the case are stated, not hidden.

Bangkok base

Our office is at Level 9, 84 Sathorn Road, Bangkok 10500. Much of the work is remote-friendly, but many clients still prefer a Sathorn walkthrough when several stakeholders need the same reading at once. Thailand’s position as a trading and processing hub for regional softs, metals, and energy grades shapes the questions we hear most often.

People and standards

Assessments are led by practitioners with experience reading commodity markets for commercial clients — not as entertainment commentary. We decline work that would require us to act as brokers, portfolio managers, or sales agents for a product we are assessing. Independence is part of the offer.

Values in practice

  • Specificity over volume of charts
  • Explicit assumptions and checkpoints
  • Respect for operational calendars and tender deadlines
  • Clear boundaries about what an assessment can and cannot decide for you
