Refunds and cancellations
Refund eligibility for Datavector Base assessment projects, deposits, rescheduling, and work already started.
This policy applies to paid professional engagements with Datavector Base — commodity price trend assessments, procurement briefings, import timing reviews, and sector outlook sessions. The website itself sells no products online.
Eligibility overview
Refunds depend on how far the engagement has progressed and whether third-party costs (venue hire for on-site sessions, specialised data purchases expressly approved by you) have already been incurred.
Timeframe to request
Refund or cancellation requests should be emailed to [email protected] within 7 days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, a schedule change or a quality concern raised before final handover).
Full refund
A full refund of amounts paid is available if we cancel the engagement for reasons within our control before work has started, or if we fail to deliver the agreed pack or session and cannot remedy within a reasonable time stated in writing.
Partial refund
If you cancel after the framing call but before the draft is substantially complete, we retain the deposit to cover work performed and refund any surplus already paid toward the balance. If a draft has been substantially prepared, fees are generally non-refundable except as agreed in writing.

- Approved third-party data or venue costs already incurred
- Completed walkthroughs and delivered final packs
Process
Email [email protected] with your engagement reference, reason, and preferred resolution. We confirm receipt within two business days and state the outcome after reviewing the file.
Processing time and method
Approved refunds are returned by bank transfer to the original payer within 14 business days of approval. We do not issue cash refunds at the office.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may reschedule a walkthrough or sector session once without fee if you give at least 5 business days’ notice. Later changes may incur a rescheduling charge of up to 15% of the session fee. Cancellations follow the partial refund rules above.
Deposits
A 40% deposit confirms the start date. Deposits are applied to the final invoice. Unused deposit amounts follow the refund rules in this policy.
No-shows
Failure to attend a scheduled walkthrough or session without 2 business days’ notice is treated as delivery of that component; no refund is due for the session portion.
Work already started
Once research or drafting has begun under the engagement letter, fees for work performed are due even if you later decide not to use the conclusions.
Materials
We do not sell physical kits. Any printed materials prepared for a session are included in the fee and are not separately refundable after the session date.
